A group of us went camping in the Wichita Mountains in Lawton back in January. It was such a neat opportunity to hike the mountains of my home state! One of my best friends/ sorority sisters and I took a picture making kites (Theta’s symbol) towards the end of the trip.
For an “edible” still-life, I set up a glass of wine and hung grapes on the rim and around the base. Done in chalk pastels, my favorite means of color when it comes to artwork.
Our professor instructed me to use pen and quicker mark-making, something that doesn’t come naturally for me. I like to take my time with drawing, and the ability to erase mistakes. But artists need to experiment in order to grow in their skill set so I’ve tried to sketch more in
