My favorite character on The Chosen show, chronicling Jesus’s ministry with his disciples, played very well by his actor! I relate most to him and Thomas. In this depiction, Matthew’s alienation as a tax collector is highlighted, being viewed as a traitor to his fellow Jews and patronized by the Romans
Colorful Find
Mount Tabor Park is my favorite place to hike in Portland. I was taking a new path that day and came across this bundle of colorful plants. I couldn’t tell you what kinds they were, but they were so pretty I had to get a shot of them. I love the variety
Head to Head
One day I was hiking at Powell Butte in Portland and was just taking pictures with bees flying around. I found one sitting atop a flower when I soon realized the bee had company… It was literally head to head with a white spider! Of course I immediately started snapping pictures once I discovered
Sculpture Study
During spring break in college one year, I had to do a number of studies at Philbrook Museum of Art. I found a beautiful Indian sculpture and sketched it. Took about 3 hours!
Love

Hat
This still-life consists of my TU hat on a bandana with my Theta pin box. I did this in charcoal at my sorority house and put a do not disturb sign on it. That bandana pattern took forever!
Detour
We were driving to see friends in Seattle and made a few stops on our way, including a park. Wish I could remember the name of it, but I enjoy picture taking of lonely-looking paths.
Haystack Rock
I never considered myself a beach person (as in choosing between mountains or beaches) but I LOVE Cannon Beach! I finally had the chance to road trip there towards the end of my time in Oregon and it was amazing. It was a big thing for me just in the simplicity of saying
