We are all fearfully and wonderfully made, coming from different backgrounds with individual stories. Told through a combination of live action stills, traditional animation and stop-motion, this cute little film not only refers to my portfolio’s overall theme for individuality, but it takes it a step further, in also portraying the significance of having a sense of humor toward oneself. The healthy ability to make light of oneself and not taking everything too seriously will benefit individuals when society tries to discourage them by judging or rejecting them.

The main character Skeeter, I created way back in 9th grade drama class; when I couldn’t decide what to do for my next video project this spring, I thought of him for the first time in years. I modeled many of his poses after Thumper from Disney’s Bambi, to try to achieve authenticity in a rabbit’s physicality.  I am very thankful for everyone who contributed to this short film and made it possible 🙂
